Year 2 Class Teacher for Mid November Dubai, United Arab Emirates | British Curriculum | Tax-Free Salary Package Teach differently. Inspire boldly. Shape the future. Where Mentors Meet Their Learners! Imagine a school where curiosity is encouraged, creativity is celebrated and children are empowered to become the architects of their own learning. We are seeking an exceptional Year 2 Class Teacher to join an ambitious, forward-thinking British-curriculum school in the heart of Dubai, where education extends far beyond the traditional classroom. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate primary educator who believes that every child has extraordinary potential and that the most meaningful learning happens when children are encouraged to question, explore, create and discover. You will join a progressive educational community that combines the foundations of the British National Curriculum with an innovative, future-focused learning framework. Through enquiry, collaboration and real-world projects, pupils develop strong academic foundations alongside creativity, critical thinking, communication, resilience and independence. As the Year 2 Class Teacher, you will create a stimulating, inclusive classroom in which children feel confident to take risks, express their ideas and develop a genuine love of learning. You will bring the curriculum to life through engaging lessons, purposeful challenges and opportunities for children to connect their learning to the world around them. Working collaboratively with colleagues, you will help nurture confident, compassionate and resourceful young learners, ensuring that every child is recognised as an individual and supported to achieve their best. What we are looking for The successful candidate will demonstrate: • A recognised teaching qualification, such as UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), together with a relevant degree. • Successful experience teaching the British primary curriculum, ideally within Key Stage 1 and Year 2. • A secure understanding of early primary development, including phonics, reading, writing and mathematics. • The ability to plan and deliver engaging, well-sequenced lessons that build knowledge, understanding and independence. • Experience adapting learning to meet a range of abilities, needs and learning styles. • A creative, reflective approach to teaching, with an enthusiasm for enquiry-based, collaborative and project-led learning. • Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to positive relationships, pupil wellbeing and inclusion. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships with parents and colleagues. • A commitment to safeguarding, professional development and the highest standards of professional conduct. Above all, we are looking for an educator with energy, imagination and an open mindset: someone who is excited by educational innovation and determined to make a lasting difference to young learners. Salary and benefits The school offers an attractive international teaching package, including: • Competitive tax-free salary, commensurate with qualifications and experience, from AED9000 to AED16000. • Accommodation (not shared) or a housing allowance. • Comprehensive medical insurance. • Annual flight allowance. • School fee remission for an eligible dependent child, subject to the school’s policy. • Professional development and tailored opportunities for career growth. • The opportunity to work within a collaborative, inclusive and ambitious educational environment. Why Dubai? Dubai offers an exceptional lifestyle for internationally minded professionals, combining year-round sunshine, beautiful beaches, world-class restaurants, outstanding leisure facilities and a vibrant international community. The city is exceptionally well connected, making travel across Europe, Asia and Africa straightforward, while its blend of contemporary architecture, traditional souks and desert landscapes offers something for every interest. For teachers, Dubai provides the opportunity to develop professionally in a dynamic international education market while enjoying a high standard of living and an exciting range of experiences beyond the classroom. Whether exploring the city's cultural districts, enjoying its waterfront lifestyle or discovering the surrounding desert, life in Dubai offers a distinctive balance of career opportunity and personal adventure. Take the next step If you are an inspiring primary teacher who wants to challenge convention, nurture curiosity and help children build the skills they will need for the future, we would welcome your application. Bring your passion for learning to a school where the possibilities are as ambitious as the learners themselves.
