Job Description
Manage end-to-end import and export shipments through JAFZA and other applicable UAE ports, airports and customs channels. Ensure compliance with JAFZA regulations, UAE customs requirements, applicable trade restrictions and relevant import/export procedures. Develop effective logistics plans aligned with procurement schedules, production requirements, customer delivery commitments and business priorities. Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Sales, Finance and Warehouse teams to ensure shipment priorities and inventory requirements are aligned. Provide logistics recommendations to management for business expansion, new markets and changing trade requirements. Negotiate competitive freight rates, service terms and logistics agreements while maintaining service quality and reliability. Establish and maintain shipment tracking and reporting systems covering shipment status, lead times, freight costs and delivery performance. Maintain accurate logistics records and use ERP systems, spreadsheets and other available digital tools to improve operational efficiency. Provide management with data-driven recommendations rather than relying solely on routine shipment processing.
